Malone Souliers' founder and creative director Mary Alice Malone admits to being a huge fan of Bridgerton and discussed how the series not only shares similarities with how she approaches her designs, but has sparked her creativity in a completely new way. "It revisits the past with a sense of revolution and joy, which is exactly how I approach shoemaking," explained Malone. "This partnership has been fascinating from a design perspective, allowing us to embrace the pomp and unabashed splendour of Regency fashion." Regencycore - a trend that has been seen everywhere following Bridgerton's debut in December last year - celebrates the whimsical, delicate nature of Regency-era dressing, with intricate detailing, fanciful silhouettes and opulence galore at the forefront. "I’m always inspired by the creative possibilities we can find in our past, but also the importance of always being innovative and daring in my work," continues Malone. "For me, Bridgerton sums up both these impulses – and has a lot of fun doing it."
