Bottega Veneta deactivated its social media accounts in January due to Daniel Lee's distaste for the often damaging digital world, sending fashionistas into a frenzy. In a digital age where exposure equals success, the industry was left confused by the decision. Luckily, we weren't left Bottega-less for long, as Daniel Lee debuted Issued by Bottega, a quarterly digital journal documenting Bottega Veneta's latest collections alongside photographs and artwork by renowned creators. Now, Issued by Bottega has dropped Issue 03.
With Issued by Bottega, Daniel Lee fuses fashion with art, bringing deserved recognition to artists of all mediums that are yet to be appreciated by mainstream channels; the latest iteration is no different. Issue 03 highlights both up-and-coming and established photographers including Tyrone Lebon, Nan Goldin, Davit Giorgadze, Simon 171, Joshua Gordon and Rosie Marks, their lenses capturing celebrities like Raheem Sterling, Kelsey Lu, Honey Dijon, Ornella Muti and designer Stefano Pilati.
An astonishingly talented group of artists are celebrated in Issue 03 with Tokyo-based graphic designer Okuyama Taiki designing the striking neon covers. Artistic duo Isabel + Helen blew up Bottega (literally) by transforming the Cassette and Pouch bags into wonderfully whimsical blow-up works of art, while Bottega Veneta's latest accessories were turned into sculptures by Erika Vogt.
