While Cartier may be renowned for its fine jewellery offering, its lesser-known collection of ‘objects’ is just as covetable, and this season the luxury brand is throwing out all the stops and equipping us for any occasion.
Introducing Cartier’s new home collection for 2020: boasting everything from tableware and office accessories to a vase, solitaire game and Christmas ornaments, this carefully-curated selection of everyday objects is the ultimate treat-yourself-and-the-ones-you-love collection. What’s more, the brand is reinventing everyday objects and giving them a little extra oomph with gold crafted key rings, scented candles, cute ornaments and keepsake trinket boxes.
Showcasing four collections (Cartier Baby, Diabolo de Cartier, Entrelacés de Cartier and Panthère de Cartier) which revolve around the themes of decoration, writing, childhood and games, there’s something for everyone this season. Think sketchbooks, pencil boxes, notebooks and stationery for the creative types to egg cups, a rattle and a cashmere blanket for the little ones in your life, no base goes uncovered.
Don’t miss out on the incredibly chic solitaire game set too, especially if you want to turn it up a notch during your Christmas game sessions with friends and loved ones.
Cartier has actually been creating these luxury gifts ever since the 1930s, shortly after the creation of the S for Silver department, with Louis Cartier, the founder’s grandson, commenting: “In fact, we do not only produce luxury jewellery. I would say, monsieur, that jewellery like ours is as capable of adorning a woman’s shoulders with a dazzling necklace as it is of filling her handbag with a powder compact, a mirror, a small comb and even business cards, all stamped with the same seal of originality and art.”
