Gaining notoriety as a celebrity stylist, she has since propelled herself to an award-winning business owner, business mentor and international speaker, while also launching the S.Academy, mentoring business owners on how to launch and grow their very own profitable business and personal brand.
Kelly also has a number of best-selling books under her Hermès belt, plus regularly hosts and presents keynote speeches and motivational sessions across the world on a host of entrepreneurship and style led topics, such as her powerful TEDx Talk entitled ‘The Currency of Life’.
Around 5.30am. I am a morning person, and very rarely have to rely on an alarm, so my body wakes me at this time. It does however mean that I also tend to go to bed early.
A quick meditation then I jump straight into exercise which can either be a walk outside or I take to my rebounder trampoline, which I love. Having an upgraded to a bellicon, a birthday gift for my 40th year, it’s hard not to take it out and exercise. I will combine my morning exercise with listening to an inspiring podcast, which really sets me up for the day.
No morning is complete without taking a few moments to read my desire statement and do some scripting. This routine is pretty precious to me as it really gets me in the right frame for the day.
Helping people find their confidence, whether that is with what they wear, how they style themselves or achieve their business goals.
Starts with an online morning call with my global team. I am pretty organised, you have to be when you are self-employed.
I have set weeks for mentoring sessions, so if it’s a mentoring week I can have up to five calls in a day helping entrepreneurs develop their personal brand. I have a diverse portfolio of mentees from around the world.
There is always part of my day that requires content creation, and I personally manage my own social media pages, so it could be a post, or generating content for our growing Facebook communities.
Anything high waisted, skirts or pants. I love a blazer but that isn’t always practical for WFH.
I tend to eat a late breakfast, which I suppose you would call a brunch. Although scrambled eggs is my norm, I have recently learned how to make a soufflé omelette, which it tastes incredible. Those who know me know I am not the most consummate cook but eggs I can do!
Client wins for sure. I have a double facetted business, I still style clients when they come to me for my expertise and there is nothing better seeing how great they feel when they really understand their inner style.
Many business entrepreneurs seek me out for personal brand awareness and business direction, and I remain in awe of how hard they work to reach their goals, whether that’s securing their first client or launching their website that we have designed - there is nothing better.
When I see those with massive potential put off reaching for their dreams and achieving what could be tangible goals.
It’s all about skincare. I am religious about applying Vit C serum in the morning (Sunday Riley/Rodial Pink Diamonds are my go to). I use a daily moisturiser, and my night moisturiser is always Filgora. My latest beauty find is my eye cream from MZ Skin, it truly is amazing!
For glowing skin, twice a week I use Isle of Paradise facial tanning drops. I always add to a little Laura Mercier glow primer to my foundation and a splash of Charlotte Tilbury on my eyes, all set to go. One thing you will never find me without is a Clarins tube of Instant Light Perfector.
Kick of my shoes and make my way to my balcony, take in the view of the city and give thanks for a great day. I always change into something relaxed, take off all my jewellery and cleanse my face. It really signals that I am done for the day. However before I fully sign off I always plan tomorrow, it’s a priority.
Is it a cliché to say family and friends? Having strong ties is so important to me. People need people, they give comfort in times of joy and in times of trouble, this pandemic has taught me so much. Supportive relationships of which I have many have been a strong protective factor in my health and mental well-being.
Not having clarity or a plan. And when things at home are not in the right place…
I told my parents when I was really young that I was going to be an actress and live in Hollywood. Is it too late now?
