Maria Grazia Chiuri reconstructs the relationship between fashion and the female form for Dior Autumn/Winter 2022 with a collection fusing heritage, savoir-faire and futuristic technologies. Innovation is at the forefront of the collection with technology integrated into timeless silhouettes. The Bar Jacket features a temperature regulating system developed in the D-Air Lab laboratories; a bodysuit maintains a constant temperature; skirts are crafted from waterproof materials. “This collection seeks to express the complexity of fashion that revisits heritage in order to conceive the lines of tomorrow,” the maison shares in the show notes.

Models presented the collection amidst The Next Era – a gallery imagined by Mariella Bettineschi showcasing large-scale portraits of 16th century women, their stacked eyes representing the judgement they faced and the judgement faced by women today.
