February 2022 Editor's Letter: Winter Sun

The February 2022 issue of MOJEH, Winter Sun, is dedicated to the great outdoors in all its sun-drenched glory.

While many parts of the world are still mid-winter and sheltering from the cold, I prefer to delight in the fresh winter sun, replete with a cool breeze and what always feels like a chance for a fresh start. This issue is dedicated to one of my favourite times of year in the UAE: consider foregoing icicles in favour of diamonds cascading from your ears. Winter fires are replaced by the gentle burn of sun-kissed sand between your toes. And delight in ocean-fresh seafood with a side of farm-to-table salad instead of hibernation-worthy comfort cuisine.

MOJEH February 2022 is on stands now

In fashion, a wardrobe of sea blue, blush pink and anything metallic makes for the perfect poolside outfit. While raised hemlines and a call for a new kind of elegance is setting our style pulses raising at Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’s new look for Prada – MOJEH has the first take in our cover shoot Fortune Favours The Brave. In haute horology we’re turning our attention towards timepieces that are all at once stylish and still perfect for each of your new year sports activities.

And don’t forget your Valentine’s Day escape. As the world gently opens back up we look toward some of the most secluded and off-the-beaten-track destinations available right now. Not quite ready to travel yet? No problem when there’s plenty to enjoy right on our doorstep.

Editor’s Highlights

Saudi Arabian painter Nasser Almulhim will be showing this month at DIFC’s Tabari Art Space; head down for a look at his incredible colourwork and grab your copy of the February issue to read MOJEH‘s interview with the artist.

A poignant tale of human resilience spanning both centuries and continents. Tender, terrifying and tumultuous: I haven’t been able to put it down.
