"Surrealism is also a really important artistic moment for me. This aesthetic revolution made its mark, and it still resonates today. Salvador Dali and Man Ray, as well as the german photographer Grete Stern are all references for me, and I particularly appreciate their provocative vision," said artist Peter Philips behind the scenes at the SS18 Dior Haute Couture show.

In her short model diary just before walking the runway, Johanna Defant takes us to the Dior make-up station where the exaggerated, tatoo-like eye art is created using the new matte back Diorshow On Stage Liner. The eye dominates the beauty look with its graphic boldness, but attention is still paid to the complexion which remains luminous and natural with Diorskin Forever. Modelling look 59, a princess shaped coat-gown in white with a black graphic print, Johanna then takes to the runway.
