We’re a few hours away from fashion’s biggest night out…

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has already dusted off the red carpet as it prepares for yet another year of the annual Met Gala exhibition.

Following the success of the 2018 Met Gala exhibition, titled Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, it looks like we’re going to be in for yet another year of celebrity-filled, diamond-encrusted and over-the-top accessories.

Will this year be better than previously? Well, here’s what we know so far.

When is the Met Gala 2019?

The Met Gala falls on the first Monday in May each year and for 2019, prepare for an overload on red carpet and beauty looks on Monday, May 6th, 2019.

Where does the Met Gala take place?

Every year, the Met Gala takes place at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, home to the Costume Institute.

What time is it?

If you’re stateside in New York City, the event will kick off at 7pm. However, if you’re in the Middle East, the late night trolling (or shall we say really early morning), will commence at 3am.

Who are the hosts?

This year, the eclectic co-chairs are Lady Gaga, Harry Styles and Serena Williams. Also, since the event is sponsored by Gucci this year, Alessandro Michele will be co-hosting the event alongside the aforementioned. As well, recently elected committee members, Lupita Nyong’o, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will on site, too.

Who can we expect to see on the red carpet?

Expect to see your (and ours, too) favourite A-list celebrities attending the event. This includes regulars like Rihanna, Blake Lively, Selena Gomez, Zendaya, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Katy Perry, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Amal Clooney, and many, many more.

Make sure you stay tuned to MOJEH as we bring you coverage on the 2019 Met Gala.
