Not even Meghan Markle can break this
Wimbledon fashion rule

For her first appearance at Wimbledon, Meghan Markle wore a nautical striped Ralph Lauren shirt, along with a pair of silk Ralph Lauren trousers. But there was one thing she wasn’t wearing — her Maison Michel straw hat. Although the Duchess of Sussex was seen carrying her hat throughout the day, she was prohibited from wearing it due to strict rules that Wimbledon has for attendees sitting in the royal box. Spectators in the royal box have to follow a set of fashion rules, with guests being asked to dress smartly and men advised to wear a jacket and tie. Unfortunately for Meghan, they are also asked not to wear hats, in case it blocks the view of others around them. Despite not being able to wear her signature fedora, it appears Markle and her sister-in-law Kate Middleton still managed to enjoy their first outing together without their husbands as they were seen laughing and whispering to each other.
