The actress looked pretty in pink for her big day

On Sunday, Mandy Moore married fiancé Taylor Goldsmith in an intimate backyard wedding. The “This Is Us” star chose a pink wedding gown designed by Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte. The design featured a tiered tulle skirt, ruffled bodice, high neckline and flowers at the waist.

Jenn Streicher, Moore’s makeup artist, complemented the look with glittery pink eyeshadow, a hint of blush and soft pink lips, while the bride wore her hair in a centre part with loose waves, topped with an embroidered pink tulle veil.

The small wedding ceremony was held at the actress’ Los Angeles home and was attended by the couple’s family and friends, including Moore’s on-screen husband Milo Ventimiglia and “This Is Us” co-stars Chrissy Metz and Sterling K. Brown.

Although Moore’s pink wedding dress was an unexpected choice, it’s not the first time a celebrity has ditched the traditional white gown in favour of the bold hue. Gwen Stefani opted for an over-the-top John Galliano ball gown with a white bodice that faded to bright pink at the hem when she married Gavin Rossdale back in 2002. Jessica Biel also bucked tradition for a pale pink Giambattista Valli gown at her 2012 wedding to Justin Timberlake in Italy.

So if like Mandy Moore you think pink is perfect for your big day, here are three beautiful wedding dresses that were designed with the modern day bride in mind.
