This is Instagram’s new favourite swimwear brand
At the moment our Instagram feeds are filled with celebrities enjoying sun-drenched holidays and aside from the crystal blue waters, the one thing they all seem to have in common is their Reina Olga beachwear. In fact, everyone from Dua Lipa to Irina Shayk and even Kourtney Kardashian have been sporting the Italian swim label this past summer.
Reina Olga designer Guia Cleps loves Brazilian bikinis and when she saw a girl wearing an eighties scrunchie on the beach she realised what a great idea it would be to use as inspiration for a bikini. Along with her sister Isotta Cleps, the duo decided the brands slogan would be “no bikini is ever too small, and no tooshie is ever too big”, which summarises the fact their swimsuits are designed to fit and flatter everyone.
“We often tend to hide and cover up our bum thinking that it is too large rather than accentuating the beauty and shape of our body” explained Guia in an interview. “Our ‘one size fits most’ collection proved very popular among pregnant women, who found the stretchy material and cuts to be ideally suited to dress a rapidly changing body”, she added.
From super high cut one pieces to itty-bitty string bikinis in varied animal prints, the label’s designs are fast becoming an unmistakable sight. Just one look at their Instagram account and it’s immediately clear that the sisters know their audience and just how to get that “influencer” look we all want.
