We've been studying the gradual shift from classic eveningwear to more avant-garde and inventive changes in Elie Saab's design process across his last few shows, including the Indian Safari themed show at Paris Haute Couture s/s16 —complete with metallic boots and studded backpacks. In the latest a/w16 collection, the Lebanese designer caters to the need of a younger and free-spirited target audience, who love their share of punk and rock ‘n’ roll and still appreciate excellent craftsmanship.
