The Parisian brand's no nonsense attitude takes over...

Phoebe Philo’s latest autumn/winter collection for Céline was a study in beautiful, comfortable clothes that signal to the world a highly evolved taste. MOJEH.com breaks down the lineup from the favoured show from day five at PFW.

“It’s about finding the possibilities. Curiosity. Going in there and trying to find it,” Philo explains in her show notes.

Outfits came in sunset hues of orange and yellow mixed with white and ivory; paired with flat minimalist sandals. Nothing was restricting. Japanese proportions also were big at the show where outerwear was spotted with big, cape-ish flaps falling over the shoulders with drawstring bottoms. Philo’s signature feminine shapes were ever present with innovatively stitched jersey tunics and embroidered dresses with organic link shapes thrown in a mix of shiny silk dresses that were ruched and knotted. Leather trenches are big this season and Céline offers a plethora in earthy, mineral colours.

The basics and accessories were exaggerated and supersized. Big, buttoned-up shirts, undone cuffs, wide pants and giant earrings and belts.
