Spring is finally rolling around, which means we can fling open our wardrobes and begin to think about our summer vacations. At Lanvin's AW15 show last night, creative director Alber Elbaz did just that - taking us back to his Moroccan heritage to deliver a collection focusing on urban escapes ... with tonnes of tassels

Last night, Lanvin's creative director gave us a clever lesson in updating a look for autumn/winter with a lashing of tassels that leaves SS15’s fringing trend decidely out in the cold. Adorned on clothes, wrapped around models' waists as belts, and embellishing every manner of accessories from hats to gloves and even shoes, Alber Elbaz’s update on the Moroccan-boho tassel held more than a passing resemblance to the humble curtain tie-back.

Interior decorations may not have been a regular on the catwalk of late, let alone outside of the home – but that's what makes Elbaz's visions so potent. With a track record of having everything he touches turn to fashion gold, we trust that his latest offering will be one-to-watch for the season ahead. Whether you choose to dip your toes in the burgeoning trend with necklaces and earrings, or jump in head first with the whole look, we suggest adding the finishing touches to your outfit now – there’s no need to wait until winter.
