We get the first look of Chanel’s spring couture collection filled with reminiscent signature tweed suits and dazzling embellishments in updated modern silhouettes in soft golden and fairy-dusted palettes.

Staged in an outdoor faux garden with models emerging from different levels of a couture dollhouse, the collection was a vision of Karl Lagerfeld’s modern Chanel woman with practical daywear, embellished exotic evening wear and functional accessories with clean cuts and lots of dazzle.
The hemlines are long and lean, cut mid-shin and worn voluminous shoulders. We notice the traditional textures and prints of the brand making a comeback in the form of tweed suits and silk skirts with an updated modern look with 3D floral appliqué and golden decorations. Joining in the brigade of modern couture - Chanel too makes luxury fashion an easy breezy experience with a lot of movement also in the form of translucent sparkling capes trailing behind the models. A loosely tied belt bag made its debut in an array of simple tweed and gold embellishment. Cork wedged heels too made a statement promising a comfortable accessory for the summer. In true Lagerfeld style, his latest muse and show-stopping bride Mica Arganaraz wore a textured floral column dress with a long train topped off with a hoodie. The noteworthy beauty trends were oriental elongated strokes of eyeliner framing the eye and Chanel belles strutting through the garden in what Sam McKnight calls the 'Chanel croissant' in a twisted wide bun. Always a spectacular show, the brand promises a variety of laid-back luxury for the Chanel woman of the new age.
