MOJEH GOES BEHIND THE SCENES AT DIOR TO DISCOVER THE SECRET BEHIND ITS SAVOIR-FAIRE
Ever wondered how fashion house’s create the iconic pieces you fall in love with? Few are granted a glimpse behind the scenes of the ateliers of luxury brands, because the savoir-faire is a closely guarded secret shrouded in mystery that only adds to the intrigue of the pieces they produce.
However, for A/W19, Maria Grazia Chiuri reinvents the J’Adior pump anew and allows you, the customer, to witness the shoe taking shape with an insightful selection of imagery revealing the ‘how-to’ of the shoe-masters.
The new designs take nine hours to make and, for the first time, were created from a single, seamless piece of fabric – exactly like the shoes that Dior custom-made for Chiara Ferragni for her wedding – requiring no less than 230,000 embroidery stitches, and featuring the emblematic white ‘J’Adior’ ribbon that trim the top line of the embroidered black pumps.
When they say you shouldn’t judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes, thanks to Dior, we can now appreciate what goes into every step…
