Stay in tune with the city’s rising temperatures and turn up the heat on high summer dressing. According to the big quartet of fashion capitals, orange is the the new hue to covet. Opt for a burnt shade and you’ll be sailing into autumn style with aplomb. In need of inspiration? Take your style cues from Camila Coelho, who stepped out during New York Fashion Week in an orange blazer and orange acetate sunglasses, looking decidedly polished and elegant.
Sweet shades of coral
At Etro, Altuzarra and Temperley London it was all light and bright. Corals and more acidic oranges packed a punch, while still feeling unequivocally summery. Channel the sunset for sundowners, and soak up this atomic tangerine cocktail exactly how the catwalks served it.
Burnt orange and rust
While shapes at Acne and Prabal Gurung were long and languid, they took on a deeper brunt orange hue, a colour which would transcend you effortlessly into autumn. Acne’s billowing silk dress makes for a striking canvas to layer upon, while the smooth apricot leathers at Tod’s are a sweet pre-autumn palette cleanser.
