Hermès Is Throwing A Desert Rave And We’re All Invited

62 Photos

When one thinks of Hermès, desert raves aren’t typically the first images that come to mind. However, womenswear creative director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski was inspired by desert landscapes; sound waves drifting over dunes; a Coachella-esque enchantment that bohemian dreams are made of. The epitome of laid-back luxury, Hermès spring/summer 2023 is as warm as the desert sun with sun-baked reds, yellows, sandy beige and browns lightened by dusty pastels.

Fabrics are seemingly cut straight from festival essentials – think: nets, hammocks, tents and mosquito screens – woven to ensure freedom of movement when dancing the night away. Elsewhere, the nods to outdoor dressing are more literal with dad sandals, mesh-lined raincoats, hooded ponchos, utilitarian zips and elastic cording. If this collection doesn’t inspire wanderlust, we don’t know what will. See the looks in the gallery above.
