Day two of spring 2020 haute couture week in Paris, was topped off with an array of avant-garde headpieces — as sculptural millinery make a powerful statement on the runway. Armani Privé finished every look with 1940s-style fascinator, titled stylishly to the side, whilst Alexandre Vauthier opted for dramatic plumes rising into the sky and a fresh take on the fedora hat. However, the show-stopping looks of the day came from Givenchy, as Clare Waight Keller introduced oversized cloche-style, umbrella hats that swooped over the shoulders and sat elegantlyy above ballon-shaped gowns.
