Milan Fashion Week begins with a fashionable nod of the head. Knit beanies, bobble hats, wraps and berets (to name just a few) are heading down the catwalk, which means leaving your hair bare isn’t an option this winter.

The latest trend emerging from MFW is a practical winter warmer injected with colour and finesse for a fashion-forward approach to the seasonal change. Gucci opts for an oversized scarlet beret with long loose locks for fall, and knitted bobble-knit beanies for an alternative with attitude.

Full of feminine charm with a hint of the ice queen, Luisa Beccaria reveals an elegant collection of floral designs, golden tones and impressive ballgowns. In the beauty stakes, models took to the runway with flawlessly smooth make-up, dark lips and knitted jewel toned berets, adding a vintage flare to this timeless collection.

Take a closer look at some of the catwalk accessories that will be keeping you warm come winter…
