For SS16 it’s all about clean lines and sleek pulled back hair. Polished, minimalistic styles gave focus to the collections themselves, offering a subdued accompanying style. Variety came in the position of the part as Kaviar Gauche chose a streamlined centre part, as opposed to Mugler who chose a slightly off-centre style.

The heavy metal trend shone on the runway as metallic hues provided an added silver lining. Lutz Huelle adopted a subtle approach, while Maison Margiela went all out in an avant-garde creation.

This next look will have you reminiscing about your childhood. Doll-like makeup was painted on the faces of many models. Labels like Manish Arora and Undercover chose a more dramatic approach while designer Vivienne Westwood chose to feature a statement doll-like pout that was paired with a predominantly refined face.

To achieve this look subtlety is thrown out of the window among thick clouds of colour. Coloured powders contoured the cheekbones of many models. Not shying away from making a statement Pascal Millet selected a bright yellow pigment to create their look.

We have left the berry stained lips in the past and have move onto ruby red hues. Looking like a sure prediction of what to expect for SS16, it seems fiery red was the colour on everyone’s mind. Anthony VaccarelloAcne and Marimekko were all seen to sport the colour in their shows.
