Follow the Dubai-based designer and founder of Fashion Jardim, the luxury showroom specialising in beachwear, ready-to-wear and lifestyle brands, from waking up to winding down
I wake up at… around 7am as I like the quiet time in the morning before I head to work. I have so much to do during the day that I need all the awake time I can get! I’m usually full of energy after my coffee and can start my day with a smile.
My morning routine normally consists of… coffee while browsing social media and checking out what’s happening in the world. Then it’s emails, a shower and my skincare routine which comprises creams, masks and whatever else is needed to start my day with a glow.
I’m responsible for… preparing new collections and placing orders, handling the shops and spaces I sell in, checking the website and social media and figuring out what is missing or what needs to be changed, handling clients and their needs… The list goes on!

My typical working day… sees me getting to my shop at 10am and kicks off with meetings. I then check the display, work on new collections and orders and, as I work with Brazil, I’ll be in touch with clients over there around 4pm. I usually come into the shop every day even just for a few hours as I like to be on the floor assisting clients. We sometimes hold pop-ups too — the most recent was in DIFC, organised by Texbrasil and promoted by Abit and ApexBrasil. It carried ten Brazilian brands that are exclusive to Fashion Jardim and was a great success.
I also find time to work on my brand To Beach or Not to Beach by… working with my best friend Zeina Boueiri. We established the brand together and she handles most of the production in Lebanon where she lives. We both still choose the fabrics together though, and design the styles we want for our twice- yearly collections.
My favourite brands at Fashion Jardim this summer are… Oasis for the resort collection as the styles, colours and prints for this season are beautiful and the prices are amazing. I love Karla Vivian for the beach too — her matching sets and colourful prints are amazing.

My go-to look when hitting the beach is… a bikini matched with a skirt or a pareo, a hat and a beautiful bag.
My favourite Dubai beach club is… Nammos. I recently tried Eva Beach House though and loved it – it has a great design and vibe.
This summer I will be travelling to… Miami for the Swim Show and of course Lebanon as it’s my home country. I also plan to go to Athens for a beach vacation.

When I get home… if I don’t have any evening commitments I take a shower and have dinner with the kids and finish some work on my laptop. There tend to be some orders that need finalising which I can’t always do during the day.
If I wasn’t in my current position, I would be… nowhere. There’s nothing else I would rather do — my job is my passion. Discover Fashion Jardim’s collections here
