The New Models To Have On Your Radar After Fashion Month

Oct 08, 2024 | 4 min read

From "nepo babies" ruling the runway to rising faces like Rosa Kirakosyan and Marina Moioli, these are the next generation of models

Fashion Month may have come to an end, but it leaves behind a vibrant legacy of fresh talent and established names that captured the spotlight. In 2023, the modelling industry witnessed a significant shift, with 45.8% of models of colour walking the runways during New York Fashion Week alone, according to a report by The Fashion Spot. This trend reflects an ongoing evolution in the industry, where diversity is becoming increasingly recognised and celebrated.

This season, we've seen an influx of "nepo babies" alongside rising stars who are making their mark. Among the standout moments, Romeo Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, hit the runway for Balenciaga during Paris Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, made her debut by opening the Miu Miu spring/summer 2025 show, marking a significant milestone for the 16-year-old.

Adding to the roster of notable debuts, Kylie Jenner graced the Paris Fashion Week scene at Coperni's spring/summer 2025 show at Disneyland. In a stunning gown made from spandex and crepe, she brought a playful spirit to the enchanted setting, embodying both heroine and villain. This was her first runway appearance at Paris Fashion Week, adding yet another chapter to her ever-evolving fashion legacy and joining her sister Kendall on the fashion week modelling playing field.

Amidst these well-known faces, we also saw exciting new talent. Rosa Kirakosian, a 21-year-old Armenian model, made a striking impression while walking for Valentino. Reflecting on her debut, she shared, “The energy in the room was incredible. I was just trying to take it all in. It felt surreal, but also exciting and a bit overwhelming. Representing Armenian talent on such a big stage made it even more special. It’s a reminder of the hard work and persistence it took to get here. My cultural background has influenced my modelling career, pushing me to work even harder.” She added, “It’s all about hard work, confidence, and being patient while waiting for the right moment. When it’s finally time to do a big show like Valentino, I remind myself that it’s not a test - it’s the result of all the effort I’ve put in. I’ve worked for this, and now it’s time to enjoy the moment and have fun on the runway.”

Another fresh face to watch is Marina Moioli, a 19-year-old from Cremona, Italy. This season, she walked for Dior, marking her presence with a unique flair. Discovered on TikTok while dancing, Marina quickly transitioned into the modelling world. She emphasises the importance of enjoying the moment and appreciating the journey in the competitive fashion landscape.

Finally, Leonie Steffen, a 20-year-old from Hamburg, Germany, also turned heads this season by walking for Dior. Scouted at a German drugstore when she was just 14, Leonie balances her modelling career with a passion for sports and community service. Inspired by the eclectic street style around her, she brings a unique flair to the runway.

While the rise of "nepo babies" often attracts criticism, we’re here to celebrate their presence and acknowledge that many have worked hard to carve their own paths. After all, this generation’s top models - think Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Lily-Rose Depp - have shown that a famous surname doesn’t negate talent. Fashion Month has once again proven to be a platform for both established names and fresh talent. As we celebrate these new faces, it’s clear that the future of fashion is bright and filled with promise.
