Sep 20, 2024 | 3 min read

London Fashion Week SS25 delivered some unforgettable moments, from a ballet-inspired collection to SS Daley’s highly anticipated debut in womenswear.

We may have shifted to Milan for the next leg of fashion month, but London Fashion Week left us with plenty to remember for the foreseeable future. From Harry Styles gracing the front row at SS Daley’s show to Labrum London breaking boundaries with the first-ever fashion show at Emirates Stadium, this season brought moments of creative brilliance, cultural tributes and genre-blurring fashion. Here’s a look back at the standout shows that defined the week.

Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha chose the grand Old Bailey to present her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, drawing inspiration from the world of dance, with nods to Michael Clark and Pina Bausch. From Ballet kitten heels to tutus paired with coats cut into tails, and garments that looked as if the models were caught mid-rehearsal brought her vision to life. Artist Genieve Figgis contributed imagery that contrasted the floral motifs—carnations bloomed across suiting, socks, and undergarments, even softening the neckline of tailored black dresses.

SS Daley

Fresh off receiving the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design, Steven Stokey-Daley unveiled his debut womenswear collection, supported by Harry Styles from the front row. Known for blending traditional elements with contemporary individuality, Daley referenced British artist Gluck, renowned for her tailored, utilitarian style. The collection featured Daley’s signature details, from a dog motif knit to high-waisted suits, all while honouring Gluck’s legacy.

Burberry

Daniel Lee’s Spring 2025 collection for Burberry reworked its iconic elements in lighter, spring-appropriate fabrics like silk poplin and linen. Trench coat details were reconstructed into jackets, dresses and tops, while rainwear came with cropped cuts, draped features and eye-catching accents like zippers and faux feathers crafted from silk organza. The brand’s signature connection to weather wasn’t lost, with hues like "gale grey" making an appearance alongside fresh lilac shades, giving the collection a seasonal refresh.

Erdem

Erdem’s Spring 2025 collection took inspiration from The Well of Loneliness, a novel by Radclyffe Hall that explores the life of a woman living as a man. Paying tribute to Hall’s relationship with Una Troubridge, Erdem blurred traditional menswear and womenswear lines. Slouchy men’s cardigans and blazers were paired with delicate tea dresses, while tailoring was blended with the drop-waisted silhouettes reminiscent of the 1920s, echoing themes of gender and identity.

Labrum London

Labrum London made a statement by holding the first-ever fashion show at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsenal’s Declan Rice made a cameo appearance. Creative director Foday Dumbuya’s collection, titled "Designed by an Immigrant: Journey of Triumphs," paid tribute to diverse immigrant cultures, blending West African and Indian influences with classic western tailoring. Rich, earthy tones mixed with vibrant colours dominated the collection, with wraps and draping techniques adding fluidity and movement to the pieces.
