Nearly 30 years later, Versace recaptured the playful spirit and spontaneity of that collection, reimagining it for today’s fashion world. A standout colour in this collection was periwinkle blue, embodying the theme of light and optimism. As Donatella Versace herself wrote in the show notes: “When there is so much darkness in the world - with this collection, I wanted to bring colour, light, optimism and joy—we have never needed it more!” This sentiment resonated throughout the collection, with delightful shades of pale yellow and lavender that were nothing short of irresistible.
