MOJEH brings you all the action from Paris Couture Week

Paris Couture Week takes place from 27 to 30 January and is a celebration of craftsmanship that brings designers from around the world to the City of Lights to showcase their SS25 creations.

This season marks Alessandro Michele’s first haute couture collection for Valentino since joining as creative director in March 2024, and will also see Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s first haute couture collection for Jean Paul Gaultier.

Jonathan Anderson and Loewe will not be showing this month, instead following the lead of Burberry and Fendi by opting for an off-calendar show in March.

Schiaparelli will kick off the week as usual, while guest House Germanier will close. Chanel, Dior, Giambattista Valli, Stéphane Rolland and Valentino remain the hautest tickets in town; the region is represented by Elie Saab, Georges Hobeika, Zuhair Murad, Maison Sara Chraïbi and Ashi Studio.

Keep checking back to ensure you don’t miss any of the Paris Couture Week highlights, and stay tuned on MOJEH.com, Instagram and TikTok for all the front-row action.

Day One

Schiaparelli

Daniel Roseberry posed a question to those attending the Schiaparelli spring/summer 2025 haute couture show in Paris on Monday. That is: does modernity have to mean simplicity? He answered his own question with a resounding 'absolutely not', spoken through intricate embroideries, playful proportions and waterfalls of cascading fabric inspired by - and, in some cases, using - vintage ribbons he sourced in an antique shop. A simultaneous homage to silhouettes of centuries' past and a showcase of the new, Roseberry redefines modern in the only way he knows how. And we couldn't be happier.

Georges Hobeika

The Georges Hobeika Haute Couture spring/summer 2025 collection is a poignant tribute to Marie Hobeika, the mother and grandmother of the father-son design duo. The show opened with sombre black ensembles, evoking the emotions of a funeral, before transitioning to glittering gold gowns and colourful accents. Vibrant hues of lavender, blue, and green brought a touch of joy, culminating in breathtaking bridal creations. Showcasing exquisite craftsmanship with embroidery and opulent embellishments, the collection celebrates Marie's legacy through the language of haute couture.

Day Two

Chanel

Chanel celebrated 110 years of haute couture in the nave of the Grand Palais, where A-listers including Dua Lipa, Kylie Jenner and Pamela Anderson looked on as models graced the double-C runway. The collection - brought to life by the in-house Creation Studio - centred around Gabrielle Chanel's love of colour and evoked the cycle of day-to-night with a spectrum from midnight blues to sunshine yellow.

Stéphane Rolland

Stéphane Rolland's shows are one of the most highly anticipated on the Paris Couture Week calendar, and his spring/summer 2025 collection demonstrated exactly why that is. One of the inspirations behind the collection was French dancer and singer Josephine Baker; recordings of her voice rang out during the presentation and the clothes were designed with movement in mind. Rolland's other inspiration for the collection, Romanian sculptor Brâncusi, was evident through gravity-defying pieces with goddess-like draping and structured shoulders.

As for the audience, half of the show's tickets were sold to the public, with proceeds going to the Fondation des Hôpitaux to aid teenagers at risk.

Giorgio Armani Privé

It was a celebratory evening for Giorgio Armani on Tuesday, as the spring/summer 2025 collection marked 20 years of his haute couture line. The 20th anniversary collection was heavily embellished and undeniably dazzling, inspired by a fascination with light (specifically how it hits fabrics) and the well-travelled woman. "Her path traverses the shapes and colours of China, the landscapes of Polynesia transformed into prints and embroideries with delicate watercolour softness, the opulence of India," read the show notes. He ended the show by walking arm-in-arm with a model on the runway, thanking all the attendees for their support over the decades. Here's to many more.

Day Three

Elie Saab

Elie Saab invited his guests to immerse themselves within the blooms of an impressionist garden for the spring/summer 2025 haute couture collection. The Lebanese couturier presented a collection of flora-adorned creations, from lilac dresses dusted with crystal embellishments to his renowned bridal creations intricately woven with lace, culminating in a rather unexpected procession of denim gowns.

Valentino

The title of Alessandro Michele's first haute couture collection for Valentino was inspired by the giddiness he felt when exploring the Maison's archives: Vertigineux. What does this mean? A whimsical, colour-splashed exploration of House codes and the works of Italian philosopher Umberto Eco, infused with Michele's unmistakable Midas Touch.
