Couturier Elie Saab honoured with national Lebanese postage stamp

Elie Saab

Known for his jaw-dropping red carpet gowns, Elie Saab is Hollywood’s darling and the Middle East’s most celebrated designer. His deep rooted love for Lebanon has always been evident in his collections, and now his home city is paying homage to the great couturier. During an exhibition held at the newly-restored Beit Beirut, a national Lebanese postage stamp honouring Saab was unveiled. Dubbed “Elie Saab-Le Timbre,” the collector’s stamp was released by the Liban Post and features a portrait of the designer, created to celebrate his accomplishments. The event was held under the patronage of HE Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri, and was attended by dignitaries, artists, media, regional and international celebrities, as well as friends of Mr Saab.
