The Craftsmanship: Known for his exceptional eye for detail, Michael Cinco chose to focus his collection around the magical palace of Versailles in France, drawing design details from the captivating ceiling murals, as well as the elaborate gilding on antique furniture. Craftsmanship was at the forefront with whimsical tulle skirts and impressive handstitched beading, while silhouettes were an ode to Marie Antoinette with theatrical volume and structured bodices.
The Colour: Red emerges as the colour of the moment with designers such as Kristina Fidelskaya, Amato and Hussein Bazaza all taking on the firey hue in a confidant stride.
The Experience: Amato shows are as theatrical as they get. Think moody lighting, dramatic silhouettes and exceptional couture details. But this season it was the mix of materials used (including sequins, crystals, feathers, fur and brocade) that had our heads turning.
The Beauty Look: Hussein Bazaza built her collection around the enchanted parable of Akane – a Japanese girl who sort revenge on the people that killed her family. The makeup from the show was as significant as the designs themselves; azure eyes that spoke to enchantment and dark berry stained lips added an element of mystery.
The Coveted: Accessories took a playful turn this season as seen by Bedouin who adopted statement, slogan socks
