From sheer to sultry, glitzy to glamorous, we chart the Best Dressed on the music industy’s most spectacular night at the 57th Grammy Awards.

The Grammy Awards brings out the best, and sometimes worst, red carpet fashion of the year. Whilst most opt for look-at-me numbers by way of sequins, sparkle and studs, others take a minimal approach. We had the best of both at last nights show. Read on to find out who made the MOJEH.com Best Dressed list.

British singer-songwriter Jessie J chose a familiar dark aesthetic for her red carpet appearance. Dressed in Ralph & Russo, the sheer gown featured a bejwelled bodice and train that mimicked floral blooms. She styled the look with slicked side-parted hair and a burgundy lip. Jessie J was nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category with her hit single Bang Bang alongside Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

Katy Perry kept things demure at this year’s Grammy Awards, dressed in a fringe crystal beaded dress by Zuhair Murad. It’s a surprsingly toned down look given her quirky sense of style on the red carpet. She completed her look with a smokey eye and teased purple tresses. Perry was nominated in both the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for her no.1 single, Dark Horse ft. Juicy J as well as in the Best Pop Vocal Album category for her 2013 record, Prism.

Taylor Swift rebelled the style status quo with a stunning iridescent teal Elie Saab gown and Giuseppe Zanotti magenta shoes. Swift was nominated for three awards for her critically acclaimed single ‘Shake it Off’. Her latest album, 1989 has spent a historic tenth week nonconsecutively at the top spot of the charts, and has surpassed the four million mark.

Lady Gaga‘s usual offbeat fashion fanatics was decidedly more toned down at this years event. Dressed in a Brandon Maxwell metallic scalloped gown featuring a plunging neckline and thigh slit, Gaga looked every inch the Grecian goddess. She cleared up the award for the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album with her record Cheek to Cheek in collaboration with the iconic Tony Bennett.

Returning from unrivalled success last year, Beyoncé hit the red carpet wearing a Proenza Schouler beaded full sleeve gown in shades of black and midnight blue. She styled the look with relaxed waves and a nude beauty look. Beyoncé was the most nominated female of the night with five award nods in the Album Of The Year, Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Film categories, winning the Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song award for her song ‘Drunk In Love’ with her husband, Jay Z.
