Just last month, Elle Fanning wowed fans with a series of show-stopping gowns at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival (a Paco Rabanne dress covered in long, shard-like silver sequins was of particular note), with writer Evan Ross Katz calling her a ‘one-woman Met Gala’. It’s no surprise then that the American actress has been announced as the new face of Cartier’s Grain de Café collection, which she sported at said Met Gala in early May.
Launched back in 1983 and designed by legendary creative director Jeanne Touissant, the luxe collection—defined by shining gold work studded with diamonds or rubellite—rose to fame in the 1950s, when actresses Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly started wearing it. It looks like Miss Fanning is in very good company. The limited-edition pieces are available to discover in select Cartier boutiques nationwide
