Although the AW19 runways were saturated with exaggerated proportions — the teeny-tiny micro and the over-the-top tote — the classic lady-like handbag continued to shine. Butter-soft leather, croc-embossed or quilted, the season’s must-have accessories came in rich jewel tones and timeless black. A sleek top-handle structure can add a feminine twist to sharp tailoring, whilst a crossbody chain (complete with logo emblazoned clasp) can prompt everyday glamour. From Chanel to Prada, it’s time to transition into the autumn/winter season with a new trophy dangling on the arm.
