I often can’t get my head around how much the concept of beauty has changed since I was a girl. I remember secretly reading my mother’s magazines as a tween, with the beauty pages solely dedicated to makeup, hair and how to lose weight. Today, I marvel at how far we have come in a few short decades. As the years have passed, sayings like ‘beauty comes from within,’ ‘you are what you eat,’ ‘just be yourself – everyone else is taken’ ring truer every day.

The siesta has been a daytime ritual for much of the world for centuries, but is it something we should introduce into our current WFH world? Moving into summer, I like to layer my accessories and keep my beauty look natural but always with a swipe of lipstick. Bags both big and small are daily essentials, as are a luxe pair of PJs, which (teamed with a pair of heels) can take me from home-time to dinner-ready with friends in a flash.
