I often can’t get my head around how much the concept of beauty has changed since I was a girl. I remember secretly reading my mother’s magazines as a tween, with the beauty pages solely dedicated to makeup, hair and how to lose weight. Today, I marvel at how far we have come in a few short decades. As the years have passed, sayings like ‘beauty comes from within,’ ‘you are what you eat,’ ‘just be yourself – everyone else is taken’ ring truer every day.

In this issue dedicated to all things that make us look and feel beautiful (mind and body), we address the important topic of sleeping… during the day. The siesta has been a daytime ritual for much of the world for centuries, but is it something we should introduce into our current WFH world? Turn to Sleep On The Job to see how you can benefit from 30 minutes of shuteye after lunch.

Moving into summer, I like to layer my accessories and keep my beauty look natural but always with a swipe of lipstick. Bags both big and small are daily essentials, as are a luxe pair of PJs, which (teamed with a pair of heels) can take me from home-time to dinner-ready with friends in a flash.
