Autumn has never looked so good

Designed with the modern, free-spirited woman in mind, Dubai-based womenswear label Kage recently launched its AW18 collection, Libra. The collection reintroduces its signature styles from wide leg trousers and blazers to voluminous Bardot-style dresses and ruffled skirts, all designed with harmony and balance at its core. MOJEH.com spoke exclusively to designer Basma Abu Ghazaleh about her inspiration for the new collection and her AW18 fashion favourites.

What are your favourite fashion trends for AW18?
Leggings and checked everything! From suits to dresses, checks are huge this season.

Are there any particular prints or colours that you will be adding to your wardrobe?
To be honest, my wardrobe is already filled with prints and colour so I don’t have to do much updating in that respect.

How would you describe your style statement?
I love a little bit of quirkiness in an outfit and I’m obsessed with delicate fine jewellery. Simplicity with a twist and comfort is key.

What was the inspiration behind your new Libra collection?
Inspired by balance, the collection was designed with the free-spirited woman in mind. All pieces offer the freedom to be mixed and matched for every occasion and look.

Do you have a favourite piece from the collection?
Definitely the hooded Kimono, it’s such a statement piece.

What are your top tips for transitional dressing?
You can’t go wrong with a white shirt, long sleeve midi dress, boyfriend blazer and sneakers.

Can you round up your autumn beauty regime in just a few sentences?
I invest most of my time on my skin. In the morning I use a facial wash, skin oil, moisturiser and SPF. At night I only use a serum and if I can bothered, an eye cream. In regards to my hair, I get treatments done at Belle Femme as often as possible.

Do you have any quick fixes for unruly autumn hair?
Tie your hair up in a high bun. It only takes a minute and always looks effortlessly chic.
