Dua Lipa x Versace reworks traditional House codes for the vacation capsule of dreams
File this under: collaborations we didn’t know we needed. Superstar Dua Lipa and Donatella Versace announced La Vacanza, a colourful collection co-designed by the duo as a celebration of their friendship. Marking the first time the House has invited a collaborator on board in this way, the influences of Dua Lipa’s fresh and funky aesthetic are evident throughout La Vacanza alongside emblematic silhouettes of the House.
Designed to ensure a woman can live her life in Versace no matter the occasion, the collection features everything from swimwear to evening gowns. “This is the perfect summer collection—from lying by the pool in a fun printed bikini, to dressing-up to dance on hot summer evenings in the perfect evening dress—these clothes immediately make me think of my holidays,” explains Donatella.
La Vacanza is a marriage of newness and nostalgia; Versace’s 1995 butterfly and ladybug prints adorn dresses and separates, while current trends such as barbiecore, cut-outs and miniskirts are also prevalent. “Digging through the archives we discovered we were drawn to a lot of the same references which was such an inspiring and fulfilling process,” shares Dua Lipa. “There’s always an occasion to wear Versace!” See all the looks in the gallery below.
La Vacanza is available in-store and online now
