Chloé has announced Chemena Kamali as the Maison’s new creative director. The German designer has a long-standing relationship with Chloé, having begun her career on Phoebe Philo’s team and later rejoining as Design Director to Clare Waight Keller in 2013. “My heart has always been Chloé’s. It has been since I stepped through its doors more than 20 years ago,” shared Kamali in a statement.

Kamali will present her first pre-collection in January 2024 followed by the AW24 collection in February 2024. “Chemena’s vision, inspired by her love for the brand, will truly celebrate Chloé’s unique DNA. Chemena is both the Creative Director of Chloé and the embodiment of the Chloé spirit. I am excited to see her vision come to life,” explains Riccardo Bellini, President and CEO of Chloé.

Kamali returns to Chloé after holding the position of Women’s Ready-To-Wear Design Director for Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent since 2016.

Gabriela Hearst presented her final collection for Chloé at Paris Fashion Week in September, where the finale of the SS24 show saw the designer dance on the runway to celebrate her time at the Maison.
