In a much-welcomed surprise, Charlotte Olympia announces its collaboration with Zaha Hadid Design on two limited edition pieces in tribute to the late visionary Zaha Hadid. Combining the renowned late architect’s creative excellence with the British shoe and accessories brand’s penchant for luxury, a platform wedge shoe and a clutch bag have been unveiled with rose gold metal accents and fluid forms.
This match-made-in-heaven was first spearheaded when Zaha and Charlotte first met in 2015. They soon agreed to collaborate on a collection and, together, envisioned the two products that were first presented last week at Christie’s London.
Charlotte Olympia Dellal, founder and creative director of Charlotte Olympia explained: “Zaha Hadid was a phenomenal person to have known and her work and aesthetic are constant sources of inspiration for me. It was an honour and privilege to have worked with her and to continue working with her fantastic team on this dream collaboration.”
