Mark your calendars for April 20. Chanel is heading east for its next Mademoiselle Privé exhibition...
Every year, Chanel host its Mademoiselle Privé exhibition in several locations around the globe – giving us an insight to the maison's rich heritage and savoir-faire.
Following the exhibition's presence in London (2015), Seoul (2017) and Hong Kong (2018), the maison have decided to stay put in Asia for this year's fair. Set to take place on April 20 in Shanghai, the Mademoiselle Privé exhibition will be opening the doors to three creative worlds of Chanel.
Held at the West Bund Art Center, each of the three creative spaces will represent a symbolic address to the French fashion house.
First, the spotlight will fall on 31 rue Cambon (where the late Karl Lagerfeld’s Creation Studio and the Haute Couture ateliers are located). Next, 18 Place Vendôme (which is iconically dedicated to the brand's High Jewellery collections) will highlight the re-edition of a unique collection designed by Gabrielle Chanel in 1932, titled Bijoux de Diamants. And thirdly, Grasse (the now-iconic location of where the CHANEL N°5 fragrance was born in 1921) will discover the evolution of the brand's signature scent.
Chanel's Mademoiselle Privé exhibition will take place from April 20 to June 2, 2019 at the West Bund Art Center, Shanghai.
