The fashion industry in the Middle East has garnered plenty of love from celebrities across the globe…

It’s only the beginning of April and although we’re four months well into the year, there was no shortage of love for Middle Eastern designers from international celebrities. From ready-to-wear to couture and accessories, A-listers including Beyoncé, Cardi B, Kylie Jenner, Priyanka Chopra and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, have already fronted pieces from the region (some more than once, too).

Discover these six regional brands that have successfully made their way into the wardrobes of international and regional artists…

Madiyah Al Sharqi

Founded in 2012, Madiyah Al Sharqi has transformed her namesake brand into a haven of feminine-yet-minimalistic silhouettes. With a client list that includes Priyanka Chopra, Khloe Kardashian, Elsa Hosk, Chrissy Teigen and Whitney Cummings, there’s only one way the Dubai-based designer is headed – and that’s upwards.

L’AFSHAR

Founder Lilian Afshar (a British-born Iranian) launched a seriously cool handbag brand that boasts contemporary designs, infused with architectural and artistic elements. The Dubai-based handbag label has gained immense popularity for its box silhouettes and use of unexpected materials including lucite, marble and leather bags. To be honest, it comes as no surprise that the covetable accessory is worn by the ultimate fash pack including Beyoncé, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Mandy Moore and  Gabrielle Union.

Nicolas Jebran

Talented Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran continues to have a very successful presence in the celebrity sphere and his client portfolio has only grown stronger. From dressing Arab superstars Maya Diab and Haifa Wehbe to renowned artists including Nicole Scherzinger and Shay Mitchell, we’re certain we’ll be seeing his sparkling silhouettes hitting the red carpet more often.

Yousef Al Jasmi

Considered a Kuwaiti couturier to the stars, Yousef Al Jasmi has a unique eye for detail. Rich embroideries, tailored finishings and form-fitting silhouettes are some of the designer’s key aesthetics and it’s no wonder he’s garnered much success. His client list alone includes Cardi B, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kylie Jenner (who has been spotted fronting his designs on several occasions).

Sandra Mansour

Just under ten years since launching her eponymous label in Beirut, Sandra Mansour continues to gain popularity amongst celebrities across the world. Most recently, Princess Alexandra of Hanover was spotted in a dress from Sandra Mansour’s Spring/Summer ’19 collection.

Krikor Jabotian

Winner of the inaugural Fashion Trust Arabia awards last week, Krikor Jabotian, is finally getting the recognition he deserves. After scooping up the award for best eveningwear, we’re certain we’ll be seeing more of the Elie Saab alumni on the red carpet.
