Cannes is coming to a close and the event celebrating film and fashion has seen couture gowns, unique story telling and even a little drama – and that was all before the iconic amfAR gala.

Cannes topped style charts last week with Lupita Nyong’o’s ethereal green Gucci gown, Fan Bingbing’s Asian-inspired Ralph & Rosso design and more models taking to the red carpet than ever before. Amid the fashion-talk, controversial discussions erupted surrounding the claims that some women were refused entry to film premieres because they weren’t wearing heels. We didn’t think there could be any more surprises in store.
With the attendees' Canne-do attitudes, surviving the final moments of the 11-day Cannes Film Festival has never looks so easy. Sipping champagne, organising their last wardrobe changes and taking to the red carpet, the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala brings Cannes celebrations to an end - and it did so in style. A considerable tent offered homage to Hollywood’s finest, set on the grounds of the picturesque Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc just outside Cannes, the ever-polished celebrities let their hair down for a good cause. With all of the money fundraised from the evening financing AIDS research, it was refreshing to see such a diverse guest list – singers, actors, models, bloggers and socialites were flocking to Antibes for the event.
