Bottega Veneta Icons Exhibition Opens in Dubai Today

Tomas Maier has brought the Italian brand's most iconic bags, the Cabat and the Knot, to the UAE in a new Bottega Veneta Icons exhibition on display till June 3 at the brand's flagship boutique at The Dubai Mall. Featuring both archival and recent pieces, highlights include the Scarab Bug Knot in oxidised silver with green and yellow beetle embellishments and the multi-colour Cabat Braided bag. Maier's first bag creation for Bottega Veneta, the Cabat is a masterpiece in simplicity and craftsmanship made from full woven leather inside and out, and adorned with two top handles for easy use. The Knot is also one of the brand’s most recognisable handbags. When Maier joined Bottega Veneta in 2001, he recreated the bag with a new closure in the shape of a small leather knot and the name followed.
