Important Conversations

This year, the Women’s Pavilion at Expo City partners with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) to celebrate and highlight the contributions of Emirati women in the humanitarian field. The event, combining Emirati Women's Day and World Humanitarian Day, will include two panel discussions with several esteemed speakers including H.E Dr. Maitha Al Shamsi, Minister of State and Chairperson of the Supreme Committee of the Sheikha Fatima Fund for Refugee Women, speaking on the topic Leadership programs and preparation of Women for Humanitarian Work. A short documentary screening of Behind the Frontlines will also take place as part of the event.
