This is a whole new take on the term cruising

The Ritz-Carlton is the first hotel brand to take on the luxury cruise market with its new “Yacht Collection“, which is set to take to the seas in February 2020.

Reservations are now open for the first of three super yachts in the collection which will cruise a wide variety of destinations including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, Canada and north-eastern US. Voyages will range from seven to 10 nights with ports including Barbados, Cartagena, Bordeaux, Copenhagen, Mykonos, Portofino and more.

The The Ritz-Carlton has announced its new Yacht Collection and this is what the first of the three super yachts will look like

At 190 meters long, the yachts will boast 149 suites – each with their own private terrace – to accommodate up to 298 passengers and offer a more intimate (but more extravagant) travel experience compared to your average cruise ship. They will also feature restaurants from Michelin-star chefs and luxury spas.

“This unique combination of yachting and cruising will usher in a new way of luxury travel for guests seeking to discover the world,” said Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer of The Ritz-Carlton in a press release. “From the yacht’s design, to programming onboard and ashore, every aspect of the voyage has been carefully created to embody the signature service and casual luxury of a Ritz-Carlton resort,” added Lisa Holladay, global brand leader for The Ritz-Carlton.

Starting prices for voyages will range anywhere from $3,100 (11,386.92 AED) to $10,100 (37,099.32 AED) depending on the length and location of your trip.
