Recognised for its penchant for punchy prints and designing Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding dress, British-based brand Peter Pilotto is now venturing into the world of leather handbags.
A first for the label which is fronted by design duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos, the line of soft leather accessories will include a a satchel, a backpack, a tote and an envelope clutch in both bold block colour and tropical leaf print.
The vibrant palette of azure, fuchsia and coral remain true to Peter Pilotto’s distinctive atheistic, but the powerful use of colour is balanced by neutral hints of tan, white and black which give the design an everyday appeal.
Crafted and manufactured in Italy, some of the accessories were debuted during the spring/summer 2020 runway presentation at Milan Fashion Week — which marked another first for the brand who usually show in London.
Worn with abstract artsy tops and silk skirts, the bright bag was complemented by the line’s rainbow of shades and textures. Doubled-up, belted and spotted in a mini form, the leather accessory added a play touch to the already imaginative range.
