UAE Stands With Lebanon is a philanthropic campaign launched by the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council which aims to involve the community in the UAE's efforts to assist Lebanon during the ongoing devastation. Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and as per the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs and Chair of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, UAE Stands With Lebanon enlists the support of institutions and businesses across both private and public sectors and will commence on 8 October until 21 October.
The launch of UAE Stands With Lebanon comes after the UAE ordered a $100-million relief aid package and sent six planes of medical, relief and food supplies to Lebanon on 6 October in collaboration with the World Health Organisation, United Nations Children's Fund, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
