The UAE Claims 22 Spots On The MENA's 50 Best Restaurants List

50 Best held its annual awarding for the Middle East and North Africa's 50 Best Restaurants on 28 January and a whopping 22 restaurants from the UAE have made it onto the list. 250 restaurant industry leaders descend upon 19 countries every year - including Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Palestine, Libya, Saudi Arabia and the UAE - to put the region to the test and discover exceptional talent within the culinary scene.

For the third consecutive year, Dubai's Orfali Bros has secured the number one spot. The Michelin-starred restaurant is run by three brothers - Mohamad, Omar and Wassim Orfali - and serves multi-cultural flavours in beautifully presented plates. Staying in Dubai, two Michelin-starred Indian restaurant Tresind Studio secured the second spot, while Kinoya, the casual Japanese restaurant adored for its authentic ramen, rounds-out the top three.

19 of the restaurants are in Dubai, including Jun's, Row on 45, Boca, Moonrise, 11 Woodfire and the ever-popular 3Fils, which topped the first-ever MENA's 50 Best list in 2022. Abu Dhabi joins the list with Marmallata Bakery, LPM Abu Dhabi and Niri coming in at 29, 38 and 50, respectively. As for the wider region, Cairo, Manama, Amman, Beirut, Marrakech, Jeddah, Giza, Tunisia and Riyadh are represented.
