Take a moment out of your day to stop by the exhibition at ICD Brookfield Place titled Water Like Tears, Flour Like Soil this weekend. The group exhibition conducted in collaboration with Dar Yusuf Nasri Jacir for Art and Research, an ancestral home turned into artist-run space in Bethlehem, draws attention to themes of cultural resistance and kinship through moving artworks. A nod to the Palestinian mourning ritual, the title of the exhibition refers to the process of kneading, baking and eating bread after a loss, adding to the powerful narratives being shared through the works displayed. The exhibition features renowned artists including Ahmed Al-Aqra, Dina Mattar, Emily Jacir and Shayma Hamad among several others who work between Gaza, Ireland and Bethlehem. Until 4 December at ICD Brookfield Place, Dubai.
