What To See
Piaget unveils its Play of Shapes exhibition at Art Dubai this weekend, showcasing creations and exclusive collaborations that bridge the gap between art, jewellery and horology. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the Maison’s universe through five chapters: Play of Shapes, House of Gold, Vibrant Colours, Ultra-Thin Mastery and the Piaget Society. In addition, the exhibition offers the opportunity to get up-close with the Sixtie jewellery collection, which recently made its debut at Watches and Wonders in Geneva, as well as exclusive pieces created in collaboration with regional artists.
What To Shop

The Loomhood Collection celebrates heritage through a meaningful collaboration with adidas Originals. The Samba OG and Handball Spezial have been given a makeover with custom-designed laces that pay homage to artisanal techniques found in the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The Talli lace represents the UAE and was created in partnership with family-run tailoring shop Dream Girl Tailors; talli is a traditional technique where cotton or silk threads are woven with metallics. In Saudi Arabia, shoppers will find the Sadu lace complete with geometric motifs, while Egypt’s Khayamiya lace replicates the centuries-old appliqué technique that results in vibrant, swirling patterns. Each pair also boasts the neighbourhood’s name and precise coordinates of the artisans, creating a link between the wearer and the craftsmanship behind the design. adidas Originals is hosting a two-day pop-up at Dream Girls Tailor in Al Fahidi, Dubai from 19 to 20 April where you can get your hands on the limited-edition sneakers before they go on general sale.
