New Year’s Eve in Dubai is going to be a bit different this year, and there’s no denying most people will be looking forward to saying goodbye to 2020. With restrictions in place, it’s unlikely that the usual all-night antics and revellery will be in action as we see in the new year, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay at home.

Dubai’s most popular pop-reggae hotspot, the undeniably-cool Miss Lily’s is bringing island life to Dubai for its New Year’s Eve celebrations. It’s Kick Up Rumpus NYE open-bar packages are available between 9pm and 12.30am, with prices starting at just Dhs250. If you want to carry on the party, there will also be an extension package running afterwards with Miss Lily’s shenanigans taking place until 3am.
The food rundown features the à la carte dinner menu featuring a selection of cod fritters, fried chicken coco buns and the earthy, peppery curry goat, all washed down with a carefully-curated cocktail list.
For great views, great views and great company, look no further than Drift Beach Dubai. Kick off with a delicious four-course gala dinner from 7.30pm, with dishes including duck foie gras ravioli to start, Australian Wagyu beef tenderloin for main, and praline and chestnut le carré for dessert. Continue your evening with a celebration under the stars on the beach from 11pm onwards, ahead of midnight fireworks.
Guests will be entertained by live music from singers, DJs and saxophonists, with prices starting from Dhs2,250 per person for a minimum of four people in one party.
Inspired by the decadent decade of the 80s decade that was the height of New York City Cool, Indochine is bringing a little NYC to DXB this New Year’s Eve, with its Studio 54 celebration.
Serving French Vietnamese cuisine, from spring rolls and the favourite Hanoi Crispy Chicken to the flavourful Amok Cambodgien (sole filets steamed in a banana leaf, served with a coconut milk sauce), the restaurant will also be serving signature cocktails including the Indochine Martini, the Lychee Saketini and the drink of the hour, the 1984. Along with the a la carte menu, a bespoke special menu will be curated by Chef Steven Nguyen.
The entertainment line-up has two-fold highly anticipated segments with the South City Rollers (from 7 PM to 10 PM) and the long-awaited return of Tom Crane (from 10 PM to late) – promising the ultimate soundtracks of the evening.
The night kicks of at 6pm and there will be no minimum spend until 9pm, with a second seating at 9.30pm.
One for the whole family to enjoy, Black Tap’s newest venue at Dubai Mall offers fantastic fountain views and a great spot to take in the much-awaited Burj Khalifa fireworks display.
Think two CrazyShake counters, signature interiors including a ‘cassette wall’ and a ‘boombox booth’, a set menu will be available for outdoor seating which includes unlimited sharing wings and appetisers including guac & chips, atomic shrimp, and fried mozz, the choice of one main course, and a CrazyShake per person with options between The New Yorker and Brooklyn Blackout, two craft mocktails and unlimited soft beverages.
Prices range from Dhs900 (inner terrace), Dhs1,200 (terrace), and Dhs1,400 (promenade). For those sat indoors, there’s a minimum spend of Dhs200 with the a la carte menu available.
