The golden age of flying was all about the event, dressing and looking your best while hostesses appeared immaculately in polished uniforms. The trend of enlisting celebrity designers to update aviation uniforms has taken flight in recent years, with airlines like Virgin Atlantic calling upon Vivienne Westwood, and Delta Airlines recruiting Zac Posen. Our regional favourite Etihad Airways also followed suit back in 2003 with a major uniform relaunch courtesy of Ettore Billota.
