How does a woman’s style change once she because a mother?

To be honest, for me it didn’t really change at all. Other than maybe buying a size (or two) up, I think it's really important to keep to your true self even as you are going through this lifestyle change. There is obviously a comfort factor involved when it comes to dressing, especially if you are feeding, but I encourage women to get dressed in order to feel themselves. Being a new mother can be very daunting, but dressing can help you find yourself when you're feeling exhausted and out of your comfort zone.

What advice would you give to a new mum who’s struggling to find her style identity?

How did your own style change after giving birth to your children?

My style didn’t change. I dressed the same but wore my clothes a little slouchy for comfort. I used great shoes and accessories to dress up my casual outfits. Wearing activewear as outerwear is completely normal now, which is great, because it's very comfortable and chic, particularly for new mums.

What does your day-to-day “mum” uniform look like?

I don’t really have a mum uniform, but I have embraced the sneaker trend. I can drop the kids to school, go to work and it is acceptable in sneakers. I wear them with dresses and suits and it is a game changer. When I first had my sons I would raid my husbands wardrobe for his jeans, white shirts and basic tees for a slouchy look with a cool vibe.

What essentials should every mum have in her wardrobe?

Definitely basics and oversized is better. Also a great handbag can really elevate a simple outfit.

Which celebrity mums do you look to for style inspiration?

I love Pernille Teisbaek and Miroslava Duma.

What’s the best piece of fashion advice you can give to busy mums?
